MUBADALA CITI DC OPEN – DC’s biggest professional tennis tournament returns with ATP and WTA stars like Ben Shelton and Frances Tiafoe competing all week, and Venus Williams accepted wild-card invitation to play in DC Open (From $25, July 19–27, Rock Creek Park Tennis Center)
LOTUS & WATER LILY FESTIVAL – Celebrate peak bloom season of the lotus and water lilies with ranger tours, cultural performances, yoga in the park, and some of the best photo ops in DC. (Free, July 18–20, Kenilworth Aquatic Gardens)
SQUARE DANCING - Learn how to square dance for free on the Georgetown Waterfront followed by social dancing on Tuesday night as part of Georgetown’s “Dancing on the Waterfront” series (Free, Tuesday 6-7 PM lesson & 7-9pm free dance, Georgetown)
JAZZ IN A MUSEUM - Listen to a free jazz concert in the Smithsonian American Art Museum (SAAM) on Thursday night in the beautiful Kogod Courtyard. You can also purchase drinks at the museum cafe while listening (free but registration required, Thursday 5-7 PM, SAAM)
